About the artist:

Munya Avigail Upin has been working with metal for over 50 years.  She has taught at the University of Wisconsin, Southwest Texas State University, Haystack, Penland and numerous art centers through out the U.S.  She has been awarded a Mid-America Arts Alliance fellowship, Niche award and others.  She has exhibited around the world and is in numerous private and public collections including the Jewish Museum (NYC), Clarion University and the University of Hawaii. Prior to Covid, she co-owned ALCHEMY 9.2.5, a contemporary jewelry and craft gallery near Boston. Currently, Munya is active in her studio and is represented by Laurie Donovan Designs and Concepts of Art, both in Lenox, MA
