ARTIST STATEMENT:

I used dripping bright white pearls in multiple shapes and sizes on this rosary-like lariat that resembles the female anatomy where the ampule serves as a nexus point and the “heart” of the piece. I love the idea of pearls having a dual meaning of purity as well as hyper-sexualized fecundity and the differing pearl shapes reference that interplay.
